How to use the Free Text to Logo Maker

A quick, friendly guide to creating beautiful logos from text. This tool runs entirely in your browser — no files are uploaded to our servers, and nothing is stored on the site.

Step-by-step: Create a logo

1. Enter your brand name in the Brand Name field. Keep it short (recommended 1–3 words) for the best visual results.
2. Add an optional tagline if you want a secondary line of text. The tagline has independent settings (font size, color and curve).
3. Choose a font from the high-quality font list. These are open-licensed fonts hosted by Google Fonts for fast loading and consistent rendering.
4. Adjust font size and weight with the sliders and weight selector to get the visual scale you like.
5. Pick text colors — choose a primary color for the text, and an optional secondary color if you enable the gradient option.
6. Add a background shape (circle, rounded rectangle, hexagon, triangle, star, octagon, etc.) and choose its color and zoom. The shape is drawn behind the text so the logo feels layered and professional.
7. Use the Curve controls to make the brand name or the tagline follow a circular path. Set the percentage to 0% for straight text or higher to progressively wrap it into a circle.
8. Apply effects such as 3D shadow, neon glow, or chrome/metallic finishes to give depth and style to your text.
9. Mirror (optional) choose whether to mirror the text only or the entire layout for reflective or symmetric designs.
10. The preview canvas updates automatically as you make changes. If auto-render fails for any reason, click the Render button to redraw the preview manually.
11. Download your final logo as a PNG. PNG exports preserve transparency so you can place the logo over any background.

How the tool works (simple, transparent)

The Text Logo Maker is a client-side application. That means:

• All processing happens in your browser: font rendering, shape drawing, curve logic, and image generation are performed locally — not on a remote server.
• No automatic uploads: when you type or adjust controls, no text or images are sent to the site. Your inputs remain on your browser unless you download or copy them.
• Downloads are generated locally: when you click PNG the file is created in your browser and then offered for download — the site never receives it.
• Fonts: the included fonts are loaded from trusted public CDNs (Google Fonts). They are open-licensed fonts (free to use under their respective licenses). The tool lists high-quality fonts but does not bundle paid fonts.

• High-Quality PNG Download: The downloaded image is saved as a high-quality PNG file. All visual settings—including gradients, chrome effects, curved text, shapes, and mirror mode—are preserved exactly as they appear on the canvas.
• Text curvature and auto-spacing: curved text uses a spacing algorithm that attempts to distribute characters evenly along the arc. For long brand names, consider reducing the font size or shortening the name to keep clear legibility.
• Chrome / metallic styles: several chrome presets provide layered gradients, highlights and subtle reflections to simulate metallic text. These are rendered client-side and work best at larger font sizes.
• Tagline independence: the tagline has its own size, color and curve control so you can create both stacked and circular taglines independently of the main text.

Tips for best results

1. Shorter brand names work best — they remain legible when curved or when placed on shapes.
2. Use simple geometric shapes behind text for modern badge-style logos; complex backgrounds can reduce legibility.
3. Try a small shadow or neon glow for emphasis, but avoid heavy effects for very small sizes (business cards, favicons).

Why won’t the preview update?

The preview updates automatically. If it stops updating, click the Render button. If that fails, try refreshing the page or disabling browser extensions that may block local scripts.

Where are my files stored?

Files you generate (PNG) are created in your browser and downloaded to your device. The site does not keep copies unless you explicitly save them to a cloud service from your device.

Can I use the fonts commercially?

The tool uses open-licensed fonts from public CDNs. Most Google Fonts allow commercial use, but please check the specific font license if you need legal certainty for a major commercial project.
